Interview with Ravit Darougar | CEO of 4EVER MAGIC COSMETICS in Beverly Hills

With a Chemist’s Soul and a Heart of a Woman, Self-Made Woman Ravit Darougar Launches 4EVER MAGIC COSMETICS in Beverly Hills.

Ravit Darougar is a self-made woman, a hard-working immigrant who knows how hard it is to start her own company and succeed. Ravit was born in Haifa, Israel. When she was a teenager, she was an inquisitive and curious innovator. She was always daydreaming of one-day launching, her own cosmetics company. A studious student, from a young age she exhibited a great interest in chemistry, biology, and physics and was always trying to figure out the formulas to her mother’s creams, lotions, and cosmetics. She would sneak into her mother’s makeup and create a new lipstick and eyeshadow shades—mixing and matching and every so often adds ingredients that she learned in her chemistry lab.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your company.

  1. 4EVER MAGIC COSMETICS, tell us more.

For me, cosmetics are magic. My goal was to choose a career that I am passionate about it and will make people feel good about themselves. So, what can be better than creating a new makeup brand? I am excited how cosmetics can transform any woman from a plain woman to an extraordinary—like magic and how they do in the movies. I know in my heart that cosmetics aren’t some frivolous extravagance but important to helping women who are suffering from depression or lacked self-esteem.

It took me few months to come up with the name; I searched a lot online, talked to beauty influencers. Initially, I chose a different name, but luckily it wasn’t approved as a trademark. I was disappointed back then, but now I have come up with a better name. One night at 2 AM, the name came to my mind; I was always fascinated, how cosmetics/makeup creates magic and transforms our faces. Our slogan is “Let the magic of cosmetics begin.”

  1. How difficult was it to launch your own business?

I have been in the USA since the end of 2009. As an immigrant, I had to build up slowly my financial situation from scratch, in order to be comfortable enough to launch my brand. It wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t impossible. Also taking into consideration that English is not my mother language, it was challenging, but I didn’t let this be an obstacle for me. I took it, as I am unique with a unique accent.

  1. Tell us about your amazing products.

Our double shade seductive eyebrow gel is a product that frames your face, whether you need to fill up bald spots on your brows or need help to draw brows. It will also make thin brows thicker or even if you have nice brows, you can make them bold. It magically helps you to redefine your natural beauty or enhance it for a heightened look of sophistication. It is a unique cream-gel formula that applies easily, smooth as silk and stays on for a few days or until you take it off with makeup remover. That’s right; it will not come off unless removed with an oil-based makeup remover. It is completely water resistant and smudges free.  It is certified cruelty-free & vegan and high pigment. Its exclusive formula consists of two customized shades that come in a glass jar with a luxurious rose gold aluminum lid.

Our double shade seductive eyebrow gel has much uniqueness. Our secret formula contains two-tone shades—a dark color to define the eyebrow edges, arch and, tail, while the lighter shade fills the inner brow, blending both dark and lighter shades like clouds of silk. So, no more frustration of getting the wrong eyebrow shade product. You choose which type of eyebrows you want by either applying less dark or lighter shades of our magic brow gel or by combing more or less.  Our product is enriched with castor oil—healthy ingredients that according to many beauty/ skin consumers, makeup and cosmetic opinion leaders can help stimulate hair growth and is good for the skin. It comes with a unique 2-in-1 Majestic Angled & Spoolie Eyebrow Brush.

We have worked hard to make sure that each one of our duo sets looked as natural as possible. To complement our friendly formula we have hand poured each one of our duos to compliment the uniqueness of our brand. Our products are certified cruelty free and vegan by PETA. It was important for us to develop and produce our products in a certified lab in t USA. We made sure not to include in our formula 5 ingredients that are known to be not healthy for us including:  Parabens, Mineral oil, Phthalates, Tricolsan, and Sodium lauryl sulfate

4. What advice would you give women who want to launch a beauty brand?

Have a niche, be unique and different. Don’t be a copycat. Don’t look at what other brands, with bigger budgets, do. Focus on your brand and what you can accomplish every day, in order to grow your brand. Care about creating good quality products and don’t try to save on ingredients and quality. Customers will buy your products; if they feel that you work hard on bring something different with good quality

5. How important is charity work to you?

Charity is very important for me. On our website when customers place an order and check out, they must choose one of the listed nonprofit organizations, which $1 of their purchase will go as donations to these organizations. 4EVER MAGIC COSMETICS and all of its products will always support programs that help at-risk children and women.

We are creating a non-profit organization-4EVER MAGIC COSMETICS FOUNDATION that is set to add beauty sparkles and sprinkles of confidence by helping women overcome personal life and health challenges. As well as, women who are low income, unemployed and trying to get back into the workforce.
We will collaborate with other organizations that help at-risk women who are struggling to rebuild their lives. 4Ever Magic Cosmetics has a limitless vision when it comes to helping those in need.

In the upcoming months, we are planning on doing a makeover beauty day for cancer patients with one of the cancer centers. We will bring professional makeup artists and photographers and makeup cancer patients feel good about themselves.
