Ashton Kutcher Testifies on Trafficking In Senate Foreign Relations Committee 2/15/17

In 2006, Kutcher announced he would donate one dollar to Habitat For Humanity for each of the first 50,000 MySpace users who add him as a friend.

In 2008 he spent a week building homes for the disadvantaged in Central America.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher created the DNA Foundation, which aims to raise awareness about and eliminate child sex slavery worldwide by changing cultural stereotypes. The Foundation also focuses on rehabilitation.

He created software THORN, drive tech innovation to fight child sexual exploitation : https://www.wearethorn.org

t’s been an incredible week at Thorn, and our community has helped push it over the top. For every week like the past one, there are years of quiet, focused work laying the foundation for scalable impact. Our team continues to work to end child sexual exploitation every day, but we can’t do it without your help.

This issue needs a lot of committed people in order to effect real change. We need you. Victims and survivors need you. This fight needs people from all parts of the world, with a variety of skills and backgrounds to commit to stay involved. Thank you for standing with us!

Here’s what you can do right now

Support survivor organizations:

Get to know us better, check out our 2016 Impact Report.

If you see something, say something.

Lend your voice and sign a petition.

Look out for the reauthorization of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act which expires in September, and learn about the local laws in your state.

Start using Amazon smile for all of your online purchases, select Thorn as your charity organization, and a percentage will be automatically donated to Thorn.

Become a monthly donor. $25 a month helps us plan our year so we can invest in the best technology solutions to combat trafficking and exploitation.

Share Ashton’s testimony to help spread the word.

Last but not least, follow us on social to stay informed!

If you’re looking to do even more, research the human trafficking laws in your state. Vulnerable populations [women, immigrants, minorities, LGBTQ, poor] are disproportionately affected, and if you can support a local survivor rehabilitation nonprofit, please do.

Thank you again for all of your support, it’s been an incredible gift. We feel energized to keep fighting this fight as long as we need to, and we hope you’ll be here with us.
