The inspiration came from a desire to explore the deepest, rawest connections between people — the kind that don’t need words. The main emotion of “Intimacy” is vulnerability combined with inner strength. I wanted to capture that rare feeling when you completely let your guard down and allow another person to see the real you. It’s not just a song; it’s an atmospheric journey into the very core of human connection.
Q2. How would you describe your sound to someone discovering your music for the first time?
MILYAM:
My sound is a delicate blend of atmospheric R&B, soul, and alternative pop. I strive to create not just tracks, but entire emotional worlds that the listener can fully immerse themselves in. My music is built on the aesthetics of minimalism, elegance, and a live, deep vocal delivery. If I were asked to describe my sound visually, I would say it’s a soundtrack to a beautiful late-night movie — honest, sensual, and highly personal.

MILYAM:
I truly hope listeners feel a sense of complete relaxation and safety. I hope “Intimacy” becomes a space for them where they can slow down, exhale, and just be alone with their emotions. I want them not only to listen to the music but to find comfort in it, without fearing their own sincerity and sensuality.

MILYAM:
I’ve always been drawn to artists who don’t hide behind over-the-top production, but instead lead with their natural voice and raw, honest storytelling. Ultimately, my goal is to create art that feels timeless.
Q5. What has been one of the biggest lessons you’ve learned while building your career independently?
MILYAM:
The greatest lesson has been learning to trust our unique vision. MILYAM EMPIRE doesn’t try to fit into industry molds — we’ve built our own path. Building an independent career is a real grind, but I’m incredibly fortunate to have such a creative force behind me.
The absolute backbone and foundation of MILYAM EMPIRE is my mother. She is the ideological visionary and stylist for MILYAM, curating every single look and overseeing my entire aesthetic. Her role is critically important — her unique vision for me as an artist has been the driving force behind my evolution.
Q6. What’s next for MILYAM?
MILYAM:
We are currently working on recording a new album, where I will continue to develop this cinematic sound. In addition, our upcoming plans include setting the stage for a US tour. The MILYAM EMPIRE is expanding, and I can’t wait to share this raw, live energy with audiences at live shows.
