“Sound of Freedom” is an inspiring and emotionally charged movie that sheds light on the devastating issue of child trafficking. Produced by Angel Studios and directed by Alejandro Monteverde, the film is based on the incredible true story of Tim Ballard, a federal agent who quit his job to start a non-profit organization called Operation Underground Railroad, working to rescue children from trafficking around the world.
The movie follows the story of Ballard (played by Jim Caviezel), who saves a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, only to learn that the boy’s sister is still captive. Driven by his determination to save her, Ballard embarks on a dangerous mission to free her from a fate worse than death. With time running out, he journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to rescue her from the clutches of the traffickers.
The film features outstanding performances from its talented cast, including Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino as Katherine Ballard, and Bill Camp as Ballard’s right-hand man, “Batman”. The movie’s score, composed by John Debney, is particularly effective in setting the emotional tone of the film.
