My Honey (His Drips) & My Honey (Her Drips) – Two Beautiful Soulful Love Songs, One Powerful Message

A Two-Sided Love Story You’ll Want on Repeat

Let’s be real — in today’s world of fast beats and forgettable lyrics, it’s rare to hear a love song that actually stops you in your tracks and makes you feel something.

But that’s exactly what happens when you listen to “My Honey (His Drips)” and “My Honey (Her Drips)” by The Al Ur Pal Project featuring The Asidors — two distinct solo versions of a heartfelt love story. Same song title, two unique perspectives. And both? Absolutely worth your time.

“His Drips” – A Man’s Voice, Warm and Real

This male version is like a handwritten letter sealed with soul. The vocals are confident but sincere, delivering lines like:

“You are my honey. I’ve looked around for someone special just like you.”
“You’ve got me honey, my life is too sweet… ‘cause your love’s so good.”

It’s joyful. It’s catchy. And it’s full of sweet metaphors that instantly make you smile — “You’re finger-licking good… my honey, my sugar.” This is a celebration of being in love and knowing you’ve found the right one.

“Her Drips” – A Woman’s Voice, Tender and Uplifting

Then comes the female version — and it brings its own kind of magic. The vocals are soft yet powerful, filled with warmth, gratitude, and that unmistakable glow of being cherished.

She sings:

“You are my heart, honey. Oh yeah.”
“You are my whole world, making me feel like a happy girl.”
“Just keep on giving me your love and I’ll be yours for always.”

This song is all about being seen, adored, and loved in the truest way. It’s hopeful, feminine, and so relatable.

Why These Songs Matter

These songs remind us that love — the kind that lasts, supports, and uplifts — is still something to celebrate. Whether you’re in a relationship or dreaming of one, My Honey will resonate with your heart.

Meet the Heart Behind the Music: Al Wordlaw

Behind every great song is a story — and in this case, the story is just as soulful as the music itself.

Al Wordlaw, the creative force behind The Al Ur Pal Project, was born Alvin in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. Music wasn’t just background noise growing up — it was his refuge, his therapy, and his way of understanding the world. He was drawn to the sweet, soulful melodies of the Motor City — the legendary Motown Sound — and that influence still echoes through every note he writes.

His journey began humbly, playing congas and bongos on the block with his brothers, catching the attention of neighbors who’d stop to watch. Inspired by his brother Willie’s love for African rhythms, young Al found his groove early on. But it wasn’t until a teenage heartbreak at age 14 that he wrote his very first song — raw, honest, and real. That moment lit a fire.

From forming a street corner singing group called The 4 Aces, to self-teaching himself piano chords on a humble keyboard, Al poured himself into songwriting. He wasn’t classically trained — he was heart-trained. And that’s what makes his work resonate so deeply today.

He later attended Olive Harvey College, where he sharpened his business sense and built his own publishing company. Al understood early on that music was more than sound — it was legacy. Through Wordlaw Publishing Company, he’s written, produced, and collaborated with various artists, always with one goal: to create music that uplifts, informs, and touches the soul.

Whether he’s writing R&B, Pop, Gospel, or Jazz, Al Wordlaw brings something timeless to the table — heart, purpose, and authenticity. And he’s not slowing down. Always on the lookout for fresh voices, Al continues to shape a sound that celebrates love, life, and connection.

And that’s exactly what you hear in “My Honey (His Drips)” and “My Honey (Her Drips)” — music that comes from a real place. Music that means something.

My Honey – Lyrics

🎼 My Honey (Her Drips) – Female Version

You’re so sweet, and I just wanna tell you how good you are.
I’ve looked around for someone special just like you.
You satisfy my every need, and I feel fresh and new every day.
I know your love is true — and that is why I love you so.

Love is the best of it all, so I’ll never let you go.
You are my heart, honey. Oh yeah.
You’ve got me hot, and baby, now life is too sweet —
‘Cause your love is so good.

You are my whole world,
Making me feel like a happy girl.
Just keep on giving me your love,
And I’ll be yours for always.

Since we’ve been together, my heart has been rearranged.
I’ve been in hands, my sweet promise, and it’s so good — it’s so good.
We’ve shared love a chance.

You are my heart, honey. Oh yeah.
You’ve got me hot, and baby, now life is too sweet —
‘Cause your love is so good.

You’re so sweet,
And there’s no other word to describe how good you are. Oh yeah.
You are my heart, honey. Oh yeah.
You’ve got me hot, and baby, your life is so sweet —
‘Cause I love so good.

You’re chasing me, I feel like a girl —
‘Cause you know you are my honey.
You are my heart. Oh yeah.

I know your love is true — and that is why I love this song.
You are a beautiful thing.

Love is the best of you,
So I will never let you go.
You are my honey —
My sugar pouring down.

You’ve got me, honey.
My life is too sweet — so sweet —
‘Cause your love’s so good.

Your love is full of joy.
I am a happy boy.
Just keep on giving me the sweetest love, yeah.

Since we’ve been together, my life has been rearranged.
You changed my life.
I’ve been enhanced by your sweet romance —
And it’s so good we can feel love again.

Oh my honey. Oh yeah.
‘Cause your love’s so good.
You’ve got me, honey.
My life is too sweet —
‘Cause your love’s so good.

Your love is full of joy.
And it’s so good that I can’t get enough.

My honey.
My honey.
You are my honey —
‘Cause your love’s so good.

You’ve got me, honey.
My life is too sweet —
‘Cause your love’s so good.

You’re tasty.
You’re finger-lickin’ good.
My honey.
My honey.
My honey.
My sugar.
You can be my candy.
I love you. I love you.
