Dr. Shveata Mishra – Founder, Healer & Visionary
PIUM: In a world full of noise and distractions, how would you describe the essence of a consciously aligned life — and what does that look and feel like in your own daily experience?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: To me, a consciously aligned life feels like silence in motion. Amidst the chaos of modern living, it’s the ability to remain rooted in my core – a space where intention leads, not impulse. It means living each moment with awareness, choosing presence over performance and allowing my inner frequency to guide my outer expression. In my own daily experience, this alignment shows up in the quiet rituals, the sacred pause before my morning tea, the vibrations of my evening riyaz (classical vocal practice), the textures of natural fabrics against my skin, the gentle hum of mantras playing as I work. It’s not about escaping the world, but about engaging with it soulfully.
Every choice — from the tone of my voice to the way I dress, the music I hear to the words I write — is an offering. It’s a life designed from the inside out, where even stillness speaks.
PIUM: You carry both academic depth and spiritual grace. How did your journey through music psychology and classical vocal traditions lead you to holistic healing?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: My journey into holistic healing was never a sudden leap, it was a natural unfolding. My PhD in the psychology of music deepened my understanding of how sound affects the human psyche, the personality and behavior, but it was my years of rigorous training in Indian classical vocals that revealed sound as a sacred force — one that doesn’t just entertain, but transforms.
I began to notice how certain ragas could shift moods, how sur (notes) could hold emotion, how even a simple humming pattern could quiet anxiety. The science confirmed what the soul already knew — that music is medicine.
Bringing the two together, the analytical and the intuitive opened the path to sound healing for me. I realized we don’t just need solutions, we need resonance. Healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken, but realigning what’s forgotten. That’s the space where my work now lives, where ancient frequencies meet modern emotional needs.
PIUM: Many describe your work as more than a brand — it’s a movement. What inspired the creation of the SM philosophy?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: The SM philosophy was born from a very personal place — a longing to live a life that felt whole, not fragmented. I’ve worn many hats: academic, artist, healer, mother, entrepreneur. But what I craved was integration — a life where intellect, emotion, tradition, and expression could coexist with dignity and depth.
The SM brand isn’t just about services or offerings. It’s about awakening. It’s about helping people reconnect with their inner frequency — the inner self — through music, mindful fashion, emotional clarity, and ancient wisdom.
In a world obsessed with surface, I wanted to create a movement rooted in substance. One that honors the soul’s rhythm, invites beauty with purpose, and reminds people of their own power to heal, express, and evolve. That’s the heart of the SM philosophy – conscious alignment as a lifestyle.
PIUM: You offer sound-based healing rooted in ancient Indian ragas. For someone new to this, what might they experience in a typical session?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: Every session begins with understanding the person through a brief, reflective questionnaire. I listen to their words, energy and emotional patterns to create a sound experience uniquely designed for them. It’s never one size fits all. Just like no single medicine suits every ailment, no single sound or music or even a song heals every heart.
While Indian ragas form the foundation, I weave in a diverse spectrum of instrumental sounds, natural frequencies and even universal music, depending on the emotional and psychological and behavioral needs of the individual. Many people may not be familiar with classical ragas, so I use what resonates universally, while staying rooted in ancient wisdom.
During a session, you may simply lie down, sit in a relaxed position, close your eyes and receive. The music bypasses language and logic. You might feel deeply relaxed, emotional, or suddenly clear in ways that are hard to explain. It’s not about analyzing, it’s about allowing. And slowly, sound becomes medicine — that too without any side effects.
PIUM: You often say “everything carries frequency.” How do sound, space, and even style affect our emotional or energetic states?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: Everything we see, hear, wear and feel — it all vibrates. We are beings of frequency before we are beings of form.
Sound, for instance, doesn’t just fill a room, it fills your cells. It can uplift you, anchor you or disorient you. That’s why one melody can bring peace, while another can stir tears — it’s the frequency at work, resonating with your inner world.
Space too holds vibration. A cluttered room holds stuck energy. A space with light, intention and sacredness instantly soothes the nervous system. It’s why our surroundings often mirror our internal state — and vice versa.
Even style is frequency. What we wear is not just fabric, it’s a second skin. Natural handwoven fabrics, certain colors, even embroidery patterns carry centuries of cultural memory and spiritual essence. They either harmonize with your energy or deplete it.
So when you align all three — sound, spaces, and style — with intention, life becomes not just more beautiful, but more balanced.

PIUM: You view fashion as a form of emotional and spiritual expression.
Can you share how the materials you work with — like traditional hand-embroidered textiles — carry their own energetic frequencies? And how do your clothing offerings support inner healing and alignment?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: Fashion to me is far beyond appearance. It’s an energetic language. What we wear holds vibration. Just like sound, fabric has frequency.
Traditional hand-embroidered textiles, especially those created slowly and mindfully, are infused with the energy of the artisan’s hands, breath, and emotion. When a piece is crafted with devotion, patience, and cultural rootedness, it becomes more than clothing — it becomes a vessel of memory and healing.
I intentionally work with materials that are breathable, natural, and energetically gentle because our skin absorbs energy too. The colors, textures, and even the threads used are chosen to align with both emotional well-being and aesthetic grace.
When someone wears my pieces, I want them to feel wrapped in intention — protected, grounded, seen. Fashion should not just express who you are, but also support who you’re becoming. In this way, clothing becomes both a statement and a sanctuary.

PIUM: Emotional overwhelm is so common today. What patterns do you see most often in your clients, and how do you help them realign?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: Emotional overwhelm today often stems from deep rooted suppression, overstimulation, and a disconnection from the inner self. Many of my clients carry unspoken emotions — anxiety masked as productivity, sadness behind smiles, or exhaustion with no visible cause.
But beyond that, I often observe deeper behavioral and psychological patterns: people are constantly stuck in a loop of proving their worth to others instead of being at peace with themselves. There’s comparison, competition, and a chronic habit of overthinking — which leads them to dwell either in the regrets of the past or the anxieties of the future, rarely allowing themselves to fully live in the present.
This creates emotional congestion and inner dissonance — like they’re vibrating at a frequency that isn’t truly theirs.
My work is about bringing them back to that true inner sound. Through a blend of music, intentional listening, emotional expression techniques, and frequency-based tools, I help them release what’s not theirs and reconnect with what is. Even the clothing I offer is rooted in this principle — each piece is crafted to support emotional clarity and energetic balance. What we wear directly affects how we feel. So fashion for me becomes another medium of healing — wearable frequency aligned with the soul.
Realignment isn’t about fixing — it’s about remembering. Remembering who they are beneath all the noise.
PIUM: Your confidential “Emotional Expression” sessions are powerful.
Why do you think safe emotional release is so important in modern healing?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: In today’s world, where appearances often matter more than authenticity, emotional suppression has become second nature. People are praised for holding it all together, but no one teaches us how to release in a way that’s safe, sacred, and liberating.
That’s where my “Emotional Expression” sessions come in. These are not about venting without structure — they’re about intentional emotional release through music, sound, and guided processes that allow the heart to speak without fear. Whether it’s through voice, breath, rhythm, writing, or resonance, each session becomes a sacred space to transmute pain into power.
What makes these sessions even more impactful is how easy and accessible they are. Sometimes, people don’t want therapy — they just want to be heard. To release the guilt, the anger, the exhaustion, the grief, without preparing for it or being judged for it. And that’s exactly what we offer: a calm, compassionate space where they can simply book a slot, write to us, and choose how they wish to express. Once the session is booked, we guide them with the steps and format. It’s effortless, deeply personal, and incredibly freeing.
Safe emotional release is vital because unspoken emotions don’t disappear — they lodge in the body, the nervous system, and even in spirit. Over time, they manifest as anxiety, fatigue, creative blocks, or physical illness. When we finally give those feelings space to move, we make room for peace, clarity, and reconnection.
Healing doesn’t always need to be heavy — sometimes, it’s just about being heard.
PIUM: As someone who guides others, how do you care for your own energy and well-being?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: Caring for others begins with caring for oneself, and for me, that care is both a ritual and a responsibility. I honor my mornings with sacred silence and spiritual grounding. To truly guide others, I must first be anchored to my own center. That begins before the world steps in — in those quiet hours when I consciously choose alignment over autopilot. I start my day by tuning into myself first, not the noise of the world.
This includes my daily vocal practice, followed by devotional singing or listening to sacred music — a form of musical meditation that gently aligns my breath, body, and soul. Music isn’t just what I offer, it’s how I live. I tune myself like an instrument each day to stay in service of clarity, strength, and sensitivity.
Food, movement, and emotional expression are also essential parts of my self-care. I eat for clarity, not just appetite. I move to release, not just to exercise. I check in with myself as often as I check on others. While I enjoy home-cooked simple meals, I also embrace indulgences like pizza and ice cream — but always with mindfulness.
I stay physically active and maintain energetic hygiene, protecting my space from emotional noise that doesn’t belong to me. And when I feel even slightly off balance, I pause. I listen. I recalibrate before pouring into others.
Ultimately, the deeper I connect with my own inner sound, the more authentically I can guide others toward theirs.
PIUM: For someone feeling lost or disconnected — what’s one gentle first step you’d recommend?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: Start by PAUSING. Not to plan, not to fix — but simply to feel. We live in a world that celebrates constant doing, but healing often begins in stillness.
If you’re feeling lost, the most powerful first step is to come home to yourself — not in a grand or complicated way, but through the smallest act of presence. This could be sitting in silence for five minutes with your hand on your heart. It could be humming softly to yourself, allowing your own voice to reconnect you with your breath. It could be asking yourself: “What do I need in this moment?” and honoring the answer, however small.
The truth is, reconnection doesn’t require perfection. It requires permission — permission to slow down, to feel, to be honest with where you are, without judgment.
From that space, clarity begins to emerge. And when you’re ready to go deeper, that’s where the SM philosophy meets you — with music, movement, fashion, and emotional tools to guide you gently back to your truth.

PIUM: What’s next for you?Are there any new offerings, collaborations, or creative directions you’re excited about?
Dr. Shveata Mishra: Yes, there is so much on the horizon, and every next step is rooted in deeper impact and intentional expansion. I see this next chapter not as a shift, but a deepening of everything I already offer — and everything the SM brand stands for.
My emotional expression sessions, music-based healing work, and frequency-aligned exquisite hand-embroidered fashion offerings have already created a profound impact, and now it’s time to expand that reach. I’m currently refining these services into more immersive formats — digital programs, global workshops, and curated collaborations — so people across continents can access this healing, no matter where they are.
The aim is to make emotional wellness and soulful alignment not just available, but unavoidable. Whether through a sound bath, a personalized healing session, or a piece of clothing that carries intentional energy, I want people to feel supported in every aspect of their being.
What’s next is amplification. Not reinvention, but recognition — that this work isn’t just a brand, it’s a necessity. And it deserves to be seen, heard, and felt on a global scale.
