“Born This Way” singer tears through a medley of hits including “Fashion,” “Let’s Dance” and “Rebel Rebel”
Lady Gaga delivered a show-stopping tribute to music legend David Bowie during Monday night’s Grammy Awards, ripping through a string of songs.
The performance began with the image of Gaga’s face, with a variation on Bowie’s iconic Aladdin Sane makeup projected onto her visage.
The projection morphed into a spider crawling on the “Born This Way” singer’s eye, a nod to Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust-era band The Spiders From Mars, as Gaga began to belt out Bowie’s “Ground Control to Major Tom.”

From there, Gaga tore through a medley of abbreviated versions of Bowie hits. Decked out in a bejeweled pantsuit and sporting a shocking-orange coiffure, Gaga belted out a career-spanning collection of hits including “Suffragette City,” “Rebel Rebel,” “Fashion” and “Let’s Dance,” among others.
Bowie died Jan. 10 after a battle with cancer, two days after releasing his final album, “Blackstar.”
Gaga last won a Grammy in 2014 in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category for “Cheek to Cheek,” her collaboration with Tony Bennett.
